What is The Power of 50+ about?

The Power of 50+ is a practical guide to strength training, nutrition, and vitality for people over 50. It covers strength training, nutrition, injury prevention, mobility, sleep, and intimacy — not just fitness, but a broader approach to feeling strong and engaged in life again.

No. The Power of 50+ is written for both men and women. The subtitle, “Your Life — Your Love Life — Moving Again,” reflects that the book addresses energy, relationships, and vitality for anyone over 50, regardless of gender.

No prior experience is required. The book is written for people who feel overlooked by typical gym culture — including complete beginners — and provides a clear, structured plan rather than assuming existing fitness knowledge.

The book covers strength training, nutrition, injury prevention, mobility, sleep, and intimacy, organized around a structured plan rather than isolated tips.

Most fitness content targets younger audiences or treats people over 50 as an afterthought. The Power of 50+ is built specifically around the physical and lifestyle needs of this age group, combining training guidance with its effects on relationships, energy, and daily life.

The Power of 50+ launches September 1, 2026, and will be available as a paperback and eBook on Amazon. More details are available at thepowerof50.com.

I wrote The Power of 50+ because I’ve lived it myself. There’s plenty of fitness content for people over 50, but very little that keeps things simple and honest — and almost nothing that treats libido and intimacy as part of the picture instead of ignoring it.

The core program uses equipment like a leg press, chest press machine, and lat pulldown or resistance band — but every exercise has a simpler alternative you can do at home, like wall push-ups instead of a chest press, or a band row instead of a lat pulldown. A pair of dumbbells is enough to get started.

The book is built around a 90-Day Promise: three strength sessions a week, light cardio, protein at every meal, and 7-9 hours of sleep. You’ll feel the difference after 90 days, see it after 180, and after a year you’re a different person physically.

The book includes three separate Quick-Start Guides — for the 50+, 60+, and 70+ body — each calibrated to what that stage of life actually needs. Wherever you’re starting from, the guide meets you there.
