The days are getting shorter and colder. It is still dark in the morning and already dark again in the evening. Getting out of a warm bed is hard, and you would rather do nothing at all. Training alone gives you little energy at this time of year, too.
This is exactly when a workout buddy helps. If you have made a plan with someone, you do not cancel so easily. Your inner couch potato has a hard time when someone rings your doorbell or waits for you at the gym. You get going, even on days when you would have stayed on the sofa alone.
There is more: it is more fun together. You talk, laugh and push each other on. The time passes faster, and afterwards you feel better than before.
Your buddy can be your partner, a friend, a neighbor or someone from your group. Set a fixed date, for example twice a week. A walk counts too. Small, regular appointments last longer than big resolutions.
Together you stay on track. Whom will you ask today?
